Chicken with Oyster Sauce
...A nice Chinese food recipe to try !

Ingredients :

  • 4 oz. raw chicken breast
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 dessertspoon peanut oil
  • 5/8 cup chicken stock
  • pinch each salt and sugar
  • good pinch monosodium glutamate
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger sherry
  • 1 dessertspoon oyster sauce
  • parsley
INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut the chicken breast into very thin slices. The beast way to do this is to place the meat on a board then, holding it firmly with one hand, slice it with the other.
2. Blend the cornflour with the water and work half into the pieces of chicken. Set aside for a minute or so.
3. Heat the oil till very hot. Fry the chicken pieces in it for 11/2 - 2 minutes, stirring and tossing them as they cook.
4. Add the stock, seasonings, sherry, remaining cornflour mixture and oyster sauce. Bring to a good boil and simmer for 11/2 minutes. Turn into a heated dish and garnish with parsley.

Beef and Vegetables Fried Rice Chinese-style

Beef and Vegetables Fried Rice Chinese-style...a nice Chinese food recipe to try ! Amazing taste !

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 lb. ground beef, lean
* 2 cloves garlic, crushed
* 1 tsp. fresh grated ginger or 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
* 2 tbsp. water
* 1 red bell pepper, cut 1/2 inch pieces
* 6 oz. pea pods, frozen
* 3 c. cooked rice, cold
* 3 tbsp. soy sauce
* 2 tsp. dark sesame oil
* 1/4 c. green onion, thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. In large wok, brown ground beef, garlic and ginger over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink, breaking up into 3/4 inch crumbles. Remove with slotted spoon; pour off drippings.
2. In same wok, heat water over medium-high heat until hot. Add bell pepper and pea pods; cook 3 minutes or until bell pepper is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
3. Add rice, soy sauce and sesame oil; mix well. Return beef to wok; heat through, about 5 minutes. Stir in green onions before serving. The Chinese food recipe of fried rice is ready to serve...Enjoy it !

Chinese Beef and Noodles

Chinese Beef and Noodles...a nice classic chinese food recipe to try !

Ingredients:

* 1 1/4 lbs. ground beef
* 2 pkgs. Oriental flavor instant ramen noodles
* 2 c. frozen vegetable mixture
* 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
* 2 tbsp. green onion, thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking up into 3/4 inch crumbles.
2. Remove with slotted spoon; pour off drippings.
3. Season beef with one seasoning packet from noodles; set aside.
4. In same skillet, combine 2 c. water, noodles (broken into several pieces), vegetables, ginger and remaining seasoning packet. Bring to boil; reduce heat.
5. Cover; simmer 3 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
6. Return beef to skillet; heat through. Stir in green onion before serving.

Chinese BBQ Oyster

Chinese BBQ Oyster...an amazing Chinese food recipe to try ! Nice one !

Ingredients:

* 1/4 c. Oriental sesame oil
* 1 tbsp. finely chopped fresh garlic
* 1 1/2 tsp. finely chopped fresh ginger
* 1/4 yellow onion, minced
* 1 tsp. mashed, chopped fermented black beans
* 1 tbsp. chutney or red pepper jam
* 1 can or 1 1/2 c. homemade chicken broth
* 1/4 c. bottled barbecue sauce such as Bull's Eye
* 1/4 c. soy sauce
* 3 tbsp. catsup
* 1 tbsp. honey
* Pinch of crushed star anise or Chinese 5-spice powder
* "Heat" to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Sauté garlic, ginger, and onion in the sesame oil.
2. When golden, add black beans and chutney or pepper jam. Sauté briefly.
3. Add chicken broth, barbecue sauce, soy, catsup, honey, star anise or 5-spice, and "heat." Heat can be fresh, seeded, minced Serrano or jalapeno peppers, Oriental chili paste, cayenne or
Tabasco , in approximately order of preference. You can go a little heavy on the heat, as some of it will dissipate in the cooking process.
4. Cook sauce to desired consistency--not runny, but not too thick. This usually takes 20-45 minutes. Keep refrigerated until ready to use. Leftover sauce can be frozen and used later.
5. Spoon sauce, including particulate matter from the bottom, into shucked oysters as they go on the grill (or in the oven) for "barbequing".

Barbecued Turkey Wings and Drums Chinese-Style

INGREDIENTS:

* 4 small turkey drumsticks
* 4 turkey wings, discard tips
* 1/4 cup Hoisin sauce
* 2 tbsps. soy sauce
* 1 tbsp. water
* 1 tbsp. honey
* 2 tsps. fresh ginger root, grated
* 2 cloves garlic, minced

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Parboil wings and drumsticks for 30-40 minutes. Meat should be fully cooked at this point. Check center of drum for doneness. Remove from pot and cool in a shallow dish. (Reserve stock for soup, etc.)
2. In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients. Brush onto wings and drums coating both sides of each piece. Marinate in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight if desired.
3. Barbecue on greased grill on medium-low for 25-30 minutes, turning often. The Chinese food recipe of turkey is ready to serve....great taste ! Nice !

Ingredients:

* 2 cups cooked turkey, cubed
* 1/2 cup orange juice
* 1/4 cup water
* 2 tbsps. rice wine or dry sherry, optional
* 1 tsp. sugar
* 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
* 1 tbsp. oil
* 1 medium sweet red pepper, cubed
* 1 cup snow peas
* 1 tbsp. grated orange rind
* 1 tbsp. fresh ginger, minced
* 2 tsps. cornstarch
* 1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced
* 1 medium orange, peeled
* Italian parsley

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine orange juice, water, rice wine, sugar and crushed red pepper. Add turkey and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a wok. Add sweet red pepper, snow peas, orange rind and ginger. Stir-fry 2 minutes.
3. Drain turkey, reserving marinade. Add cornstarch to marinade and stir to combine.
4. Add turkey, marinade and water chestnuts to wok and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
5. Serve on a bed of rice and garnish with orange wedges and parsley. The Chinese food recipe is ready ....enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS

* 8 oz. Medium Egg Noodles, uncooked
* 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
* 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into julienne strips (1 1/2 × 1/4-inch)
* 2 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
* 1 bunch scallions, chopped
* 1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
* 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
* 1 cup chopped celery
* 1 4-oz. can sliced water chestnuts
* 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
* 1/2 tsp. white pepper
* 1 tsp. dried cilantro
* 2 tbsps. toasted almonds (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare egg noodles according to package directions; drain.
2. In a large skillet or wok, sauté chicken, carrots, scallions and red bell pepper in oil until chicken is opaque and white, about 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
3. Add soy sauce, celery, water chestnuts, garlic powder, white pepper and cilantro. Mix all ingredients together, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in cooked egg noodles. Sprinkle with toasted almonds, if desired. The Chinese food recipe is ready to serve..enjoy it !
